About the Role
Based in Miramichi, NB, Vye Construction and Paving is a family owned and operated company. We offer an array of services in the field of construction and are seeking a full time seasonal Truck Driver to join our team.
VALID DRIVERS LICENSE IS A MUST - ALL ACCEPTED APPLICANTS WILL UNDERGO A LICENSE VALIDITY TEST AND DRIVING RECORD (ABSTRACT) CHECK.
Experience: Experience an asset.
Specific Skills:
Drive manual transmission vehicle.
Load and unload goods.
 Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
 Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
Complete accident or incident reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Driver logbook.
 Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
 Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Professionalism in customer service.
Perform preventive maintenance.

Personal Suitability:
Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Reliability, Judgement, Team player.
This is a full time seasonal position, estimated at 50 hours per week Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required. Applicants should be prepared and available to work long hours. The duration of the job is based around the paving season, which lasts from 8-10 months per year.Â
