About the Role
Based in Miramichi, NB, Vye Construction and Paving is a family owned and operated company. We offer an array of services in the field of construction and are seeking a full time seasonal Labourer to join our team.
Experience: Experience an asset.
Specific Skills:
Load, unload and transport construction materials.
 Assist heavy equipment operators.
 Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
 Pave and rake asphalt.
Clean and pile salvaged materials.
Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Additional tasks as required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Attention to detail, Fast paced environment, Physically demanding, Hot outdoor envrionment.
Personal Suitability:
Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Reliability, Judgement, Team player.Â
The selected candidate must be able to take initiative and be productive when working independently. Quick thinking and strong problem solving skills are also desired.
This is a full time seasonal position, estimated at 50 hours per week Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required, and will be compensated accordingly. Applicants should be prepared and available to work long hours. The duration of the job is based around the paving season, which lasts from 8-10 months per year.
