About the Role
Based in Miramichi, NB, Vye Construction and Paving is a family owned and operated company. We offer an array of services in the field of construction. We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Foreman to oversee our civil construction projects. As a Civil Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of laborers and operators, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of laborers and operators to ensure project goals are met
Coordinate and schedule work activities, equipment, and materials
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure high-quality outcomes
Collaborate with project managers, engineers to resolve project issues and ensure successful project delivery
Develop and maintain a positive safety culture within the team, ensuring all workers are aware of and comply with safety policies and procedures
Identify and mitigate potential project risks, developing and implementing contingency plans as needed
Manage and report on project progress, budgets, and schedules
 Requirements:
5+ years of experience in civil construction, preferably as a foreman or supervisor
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve project issues
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
Valid driver license
