Based in Miramichi, NB, Vye Construction and Paving is a growing family business looking for a dependable Office & Bookkeeping Assistant to support our day-to-day operations. You’ll work closely with our Financial Controller and play a key role in keeping the office organized and running smoothly. If you’re someone who brings energy, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
Attitude and reliability matter most to us. The ideal candidate is:
Friendly, energetic, and eager to work and learn
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable taking direction and also working independently
Strong with computers and quick to pick up new tools
Clear and professional in communication
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
French/English bilingual is an asset, but not required
QuickBooks Desktop experience is a bonus (not required)
Day to day tasks for this position include, but are not limited to:
General office and administrative support
Answering emails and phone calls, and directing inquiries
Organizing digital and paper files
Data entry and maintaining records
Working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Gmail
Entering vendor invoices and expenses
Supporting invoicing, receipts, and vendor documentation
Other clerical duties as needed in a small-business environment
This is a full time position, estimated at 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
